Provide care for Veterans in Rural Communities

Veteran’s most common chronic conditions align very closely with the diagnostic groups that are at the core of Hospital HRRP worries.

The ceremony coincided with Des Moines Navy Week, one of 22 Navy Weeks planned across America in 2009. Navy Weeks are designed to show Americans the investment they have made in their Navy and increase awareness in cities that do not have a significant Navy presence. Enable VSO’s

Veterans Service Organizations have great intentions, and even greater participants.  Unfortunately too often they are left on their own to create and train on tools used to help their fellow veterans.  Rural Health Resources will develop mHealth ToolKits for VSO’s to use that will dramatically improve the efficacy of volunteers trying to help their fellow vets  with key specific diagnostic conditions.

Navigate VA Care Choice

The  Veterans Access, Choice and Accountability Act of 2014  is intended to create more alternatives for Veterans who need access to timely care.  Almost all veterans living in rural areas will qualify for VA Care benefits by virtue of the distance  required to drive to a VA facility.  Unfortunately navigating the complexities of the exact process to use VA Care Choice services is not always simple.  Rural Health Resources will work with our VSO partners to ensure that we do what we can to reduce that complexity, and make accessing those services as simple as we can.
