Ted McAleer

Ted is a West Point graduate and a Harvard MBA graduate who has deep roots in helping young companies develop into industry power houses.   Ted was the Executive Director of USTAR – the acclaimed Utah Science Technology and Research Initiative tasked with taking University research driven technologies and finding ways to create commercial successes built on those foundations.  Ted is passionate about Veterans issues.

Ted is currently the Managing Director of Pando Labs – a 501c3 that mentors start ups in the Greater Salt Lake City area, and is also a Co-Founder and Executive Committee member of the Park City Angels – the most active Angel Investment community in Utah.  Ted is an active skier, hiker and all around outdoorsman.

Celeste Gleave

Celeste Gleave is the CEO of FYVE Star – a contractor providing vital supplies to the Department of Defense, Defense Logistics Agency, Homeland Security and other GSA purchasing entities.  Celeste is also the Founder and Executive Director of SHEROES United, a 501c3 dedicated to helping women lift themselves and their families out of abusive relationships.

Celeste has served both as a Civic Leader at the Pentagon – appointed by the Joint Chief of Staff – for the United States AFR, as well as the Honorary Wing Commander for the 419th Fighter Wing at Hill Air Force Base.
As a former Army Nurse/Physicians Assistant Celeste is passionate about Veterans Health Care issues – rural or otherwise.

R.Craig Smith

Craig Smith is the President of MGW Telephone Company – a rural telephone company – well as the Founder and CEO of Lingo Networks, a service provider delivering advanced IP Services to rural businesses in western Virginia.

Craig has just recently served out his term on the Board of Directors of NTCA – The Rural Broadband Association – often called “the voice of Rural Telecommunications”, serving almost 900 rural telecom companies.  He still serves as on the Board of Directors of the Eastern Rural Telecom Assoc.

Craig has been a constant visitor to Capitol Hill – proactive in advocating for less well served rural communities.

John Blevins

John is a 20 year healthcare technology veteran – experienced in sales, marketing, investment banking, and strategic business development. John has both Fortune 1000 experience and has led teams for multiple innovative venture-backed companies, start-ups disrupting the status quo in healthcare. He is currently a consultant at Healthcare Venture Development, with focus on building early-stage HCIT, digital health, and technology-enabled services companies across all healthcare sectors.

John received his B.S. in Business from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and his M.B.A. with concentration in Private Equity Finance from the University of Texas at Austin where he received the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence and was a Sord Scholar.

Terry Schow

Mr. Schow is passionate about many veterans issues.  He is retired US Army Veteran who served in Vietnam and for many years beyond that conflict.  He has tirelessly advocated for Vets who have served in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Granada, Iraq and Afghanistan.  He has served the American Legion as both the National Committeeman for Utah, and as the past Utah State Commander.  He currently serves on the SBA National Veterans Small Business Advisory Committee, and is the Chairman Emeritus of the Veterans Rural Health Advisory Committee (VRHAC).

Mr. Schow served for many years as the Executive Director for the Utah Department of Veteran Affairs.

Dr. Russ Reiss

Dr. Reiss is both a Cardiothroracic Surgeon and an Interventional Cardiologist.  He is recognized as an expert at bridging clinically meaningful innovations into commercially successful products.  As both a Medical Practitioner and a BioMedical Entrepreneur, he possesses a unique capacity to leverage both broad academic and practical experience in assisting companies who desire to create meaningful impact in delivering innovative mHealth solutions that create improved medical outcomes.    

Dr. Reiss spent 7 years at the George E. Wahlen VA Medical Center in SLC engaging in academic cardiac and thoracic surgery.  He is an alumnus of Columbia University and the University of Utah

Len Schmidt, M.D. and Linda Nielson, MSW, LCSW, BCD

Len and Linda bring decades of expertise to our Mental Health programs. Linda still maintains a practice, and Len has been a tenured associate professor of Psychiatry at the University of Utah College of Medicine since 1980. Dr. Schmidt also served as the Chief of the Veterans Administration Dept of Psychiatry for 13 years. Both believe that Rural Health Resources is bringing a unique set of solutions to Rural Mental Healthcare, and want to be a part of creating those solutions.
